Christmas Delivery Schedule

We are closing our offices at 5pm on the 17th of December to give our staff a much needed break this Christmas. However, our suppliers are still working hard to distribute your orders. 

Any orders placed on or before 20/12 will be processed and we will endeavour to deliver your items for Christmas. Deliveries are not guaranteed to arrive before Christmas, as it is a very busy time for couriers. If you are ordering items as Christmas presents, we recommend that you take this into consideration to avoid disappointment. 

Orders placed after 20/12 will be processed in the new year upon our staff’s return to the office, when we will return to our regular processing and delivery schedule. 

Please note: as has been the case for the duration of 2021, we are still experiencing logistics delays due to the knock on effect of the COVID 19 pandemic. We are not offering a next day delivery service, instead Express Delivery will now see your order delivered within 1-3 working days, and Standard Delivery orders arriving within 5-7 working days. This delivery schedule will apply to orders placed over the Christmas period for despatch in 2022.

Due to the delays being experienced by couriers, we have altered our delivery timeframes. As a result, we are not currently in a position to guarantee Next Day Delivery right now. This is a temporary measure until Couriers are able to resolve the issues they have been experiencing as a result of the coronavirus, which have led to some orders being delayed after they leave our warehouses.

Express Delivery will now see your order delivered within 1-3 working days, with standard delivery orders arriving within 5 - 7  working days.

Deliveries can arrive at any time up to 6pm and, unfortunately, we are not able to provide a delivery window or tracking information on all orders but where tracking is available we will ensure you are kept up to date with your delivery.

How Long Do Deliveries Take

At The Direct Office Supply Company subject to availability we endeavour to get goods delivered to you as quickly as possible, In fact many of our Business machines, Chairs and Express Office Products are delivered within 24 - 48 hours.

Direct Office Supply Company will confirm your order to you by e-mail once the order has been processed, giving you more details of timescales etc Please read this Mail as this will give you more Information regarding Timescales etc

Some Furniture items, made to order, large, Heavy or hand finished products can take up to 10-15 days. Please see product description for any different delivery schedules. We will always try our best to keep you informed and in most of these case will contact you to arrange delivery so please ensure we have the best contact telephone number for you.

How are orders shipped ?

Products are despatched directly from regional distribution centres or directly from the manufacturers, therefore orders with multiple items may not all arrive at the same time. Many of our couriers give us tracking details and we do try to get these out quickly to you.

Your Delivery Is Free of Charge is that correct ?

Please note small orders Under £25.00 will incurr a SMALL ORDER £5.00 handling charge

Certain parts of Scotland and Highlands and Islands may incur an excess delivery charge, Also note Cornwall TR post codes, LD Codes and SA30+ Post Codes will incur charges for our Silverline range - Please contact us for details.

For health and safety reasons all orders are Delivered and charged to ground floor only

Please Note Next Day and Express Office Furniture Items will be delivered to doorstep only. If you have any special requirements we are pleased to quote you

For all Non-Mainland orders i.e. Northern Ireland, Channel Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and The Western Isles and Eire etc, we can quote you a price and availability. Please note any orders placed outwith the United Kingdom and Eire will not be shipped. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details

Delivery Times

Deliveries are made Monday-Friday between 8.30am-5.30pm (excluding bank holidays). All goods require a signature on delivery and are delivered to ground floor level only.

Are office Furniture Items supplied Assembled

Most Items are supplied Flat pack for quick easy delivery, if you check on the product description it will say Assembled if the item is supplied that way

Problems with deliveries

We use couriers for many of our items, and unfortunately damages can happen. If this is the case, please send us an email to customer services within 72 hours of the the item being received

If you can attach an Image of the damage to your mail it will help speed matters along

Unpacking & Assembly of delivered goods

Please take time to check the product and all its parts in full within 72hours of product receipt.

Do not start assembling until all the parts have been checked through.  No claims for damage will be accepted once you have started to assemble your furniture.

By assembling your furniture this is deemed as acceptance of the products and they can therefore not be returned.

Please follow the assembly instructions carefully. If you experience any problems whilst assembling your product, contact our customer services team.

Arranged Deliveries

Please note if our distribution centre arranges a delivery date with you and you are unable to be available on that date you must contact us at least 24 hours beforehand to re arrange.

Failure to be available for arranged deliveries will result in re delivery charges as per our Terms and Conditions

Please call and re arrange in in any doubt - we will then try to offer an alternative date to suit and save any unnecessary charges.
