Faulty, Incorrect or Damaged Items

Our products are supplied to you by courier service and unfortunately, accidents can happen. If you receive damaged or incorrect goods, please follow these steps to ensure that the returns process is as simple as possible.

  • We strongly advise that you inspect all packaging for damages before signing for delivery. If you see any damage, please note this on the paperwork/pda. If damage is substantial, we recommend refusing delivery. If this is not possible, please make sure to sign for the goods ‘unexamined’ to allow us to take up any claims with our delivery partners if necessary.
  • Please check the product and all its parts within 72 hours of receipt. If you have received a damaged, faulty, or incorrect item, you must notify us within 72 hours of delivery.
  • Do not begin assembly until you have checked all parts. If any parts are missing or faulty DO NOT assemble the item. No claims for damage will be accepted once you have started assembling the product.
  • If you have received an incorrect item or the product is not as expected, DO NOT assemble it. No claims for damage will be accepted once you have started assembling the product.
  • Retain all original packaging for returns purposes. Failure to do so may affect credit due.
  • Please follow assembly instructions carefully. If you encounter any problems, contact our customer service team.

To open a return, please get in touch via the contact us form or info@directofficesupply.co.uk, quoting your order number. A member of our customer service team will get back to you and, should there be any damage to the packaging or product, you will be asked to send images. This will speed up the returns procedure.

 

Items Not Required/Unsuitable/Customer Error

We endeavour to add as much information as possible to our product descriptions to help you make an informed decision when purchasing. However, if you wish to return any product you can do so within 14 days of delivery. Please note:

  • You will have to arrange return of the goods yourself and track them using a reputable carrier. If you require us to collect the goods, we can do so however this would be chargeable and deducted from any credit due. Please enquire via our contact form for a quote.
  • All goods must be returned in their original condition in original packaging. Failure to do so may affect any credit due.
  • DO NOT assemble items you wish to return. Any items that have been assembled will no longer qualify for a refund.
  • If you wish to return any items not required after 14 days of receipt, please contact us to discuss. However, this will incur restocking fees which are deductible from any credit due.

A member of our team will get back to you and you will be provided with a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number which must be enclosed with all returned goods. You will then return the goods at your own cost or discuss a quote for collection with our team.  

 

Made to Order Items

 Please note:

  • Made to order items cannot be cancelled once ordered and cannot be returned once delivered.
  • Only where an item is incorrect, damaged, or faulty will we open a return for a made to order item.
  • All images are for information purposes. We strongly encourage customers to request colour samples in advance of ordering made to order items to avoid any issues.
  • Please read product descriptions closely before ordering and double check measurements. If you’re ordering a bespoke filing cabinet, please check whether you require A4 or foolscap filing.
